[ Molly leans over to look at the picture, seeing the half-orc in his armor and a pink-haired firbolg looking serious and serene at once. The sword swinging is wonderful and he feels like his face is going to hurt after so much smiling. ]

You two look amazing. I just put on this amazing coat I have and Yasha wears some furs, then we get really drunk. You're really into it for real!

[ He's so smitten with this nerd-jock-flowerboy. ]

Thanks, [ he's starting to feel like there's no area of his life that Molly isn't comfortable with, which is amazing, ] we should grab the others and all go to the next ren faire, just as a big group to have some ale and bother the pirates.

[ He had mostly stopped going because the Cree person said she would be there once... but in a big group? Oh yes. ]

It seems we're planning a lot of dates, here...

Well, they don't have to be dates, [ said with a shrug as he holds onto his glass for warmth, glancing away to make it all the more casual, ] we'll be hanging out with our friends, near ... each other. I don't expect to command your attention or anything.

[ Molly winks again, putting his chin in his hands and just watching Fjord as they speak. ]

...but I would love to hang out more, in either case. They're going to go crazy when they hear this.

I'd like to spend some more time together too, Mollymauk, wherever you want.

[ He holds that eye-contact, briefly glancing down at pretty lips and not being subtle about it as his eyes crinkle with a shy smile. He can be coy, shh. ]

How old are you, by the way? I feel like we should have some basic information on each other to feed our friends.

[ Whatever he wants. Shit, what does he want? This is all such new territory for him. All Molly knows is that he's having fun and doesn't want that to stop.

Those eyes are so intriguing, and the little glance makes him stick out the tiny prongs just a bit. (Of course that's when Fjord asks his age and Molly almost bites his tongue when he laughs.) ]

Oooh, yeah. My age is kind of... messed up. I was probably in my upper teens, early adulthood when I was hit, but nobody knows the exact number. That was eight years ago, so my papers say 26. Give or take a few years. We usually call me eight just to be funny. What about you?

[ His eyes dilate just a little watching that tongue poke out, flicking back up to red eyes. ]

Eight, hah. I'm thirty-three, which I suppose makes me the dirty old man in all of this.

[ Molly laughs again, shaking his head. ]

[ Ffffff. It's a public coffee shop, so he lowers his voice and hums as he brings his coffee to his lips; two can play at this game. ]

[ It's terrifying but he's enjoying it too. ]

[ Here he is, Mollymauk Tealeaf, professional slut on camera, turning a vibrant purple-red in the face at that retort. It makes his head swim with possibilities, and he has to take a deep swig of the last of his coffee to not explode. ]

[ That is the most endearingly weird blush he's seen in a long time, laughing quietly so as not to draw attention to them. In his videos Molly gives off the impression of a brat, cocky and powerful, but Fjord is starting to see possibilities where he could pin that lavender ass down and make him squeal. ]

I try. Can I ask who your last partner was? I'm just curious.

[ To be fair, being a brat is part of his whole online persona, and... usually who he is in general. This date of his is flipping around a lot of things.

Molly's tail still at the question, and he looks at Fjord a little more sobered. People usually asked how many people he's slept with and all that, but partners was kind of new. (He doubts Fjord means sponsors.) ]

I haven't... ah, I really haven't had a relationship before, and I don't remember the name of the last person I slept with. I was pretty drunk.

[ That's the last thing he expects to hear and his expression softens, braced for something quite different. Never had a relationship before? Too drunk to remember his last lay? Well, damn. It's surprising, certainly, so he keeps his tone as kind as he can. ]

I find it hard to believe no one has snapped you up, but all the more reason for me to make a good impression and set a high bar.

I'm a bit of a handful and people don't usually keep up with me. I piss people off, I'm a mess physically and emotionally, I'm needy and I get into a lot of trouble. Not exactly relationship material.

[ Molly says with a shrug. ]

They want the experience and not the baggage, and I'm fine with that.

[ His red eyes glance back up at Fjord's. ]

I like you, though, and I want to hang out more. I dunno if you want more, but... this is the first date I've had that isn't just planning out sex, and I'm enjoying myself.

Molly, [ dropping the mauk because it feels more intimate, as much as he can hazard being on a first date as he reaches over to offer a hand, ] I said I'd take you larping. You will absolutely hate me at the end of it, but I will take you, and there will absolutely no sex but instead a ton of alcohol disguised as magical potions. You may not remember much, but I promise I'll still be there the next morning to drag you onto a muddy battlefield.

[ There's fondness blooming in his smile of uncertainty, and he looks at Fjord from under long lashes before taking that hand. There's at least one ring on every finger, and he has a short but pretty manicure in dark red. His palm is soft except for a few callouses, and he radiates heat under Fjord's hold. ]

I would really like that.

[ It's weird, how this both scared and excited him, and Molly realizes that this is all making him happy rather than a little stressed or just horny. (A lil' horny tho.) ]

Plus we share a friend group so when you dump me I'll still get to see your nerd face and they'll throw shade for years.

[ So warm. He forgot tieflings did that, Jester is always so cool to the touch. ]

More like Yasha will just snap my neck like a lily, but sure. Also, [ his hands are rougher than Molly's from working with his hands in the shop, claws filed down to nice neat nails exclusively for this date so that he can run his thumb over the back of that toasty hand, ] we're not really anything at the moment, don't jump ahead to dumping. I'd say that's rather premature.

[ He likes Fjord's hands. They're big and sturdy, and the way he rubs his thumb a bit against the head of his snake is soothing. ]

Like I said, I'm high maintenance... but you're right. A little too quick planning on my part.

[ He's preparing for heartache even before his heart is taken. ]

...and Yasha isn't allowed to kill anyone, who would babysit me if she's in jail??

[ There's a theatric pout, even if those eyes are still full of mirth. ]

Tell me more about you, Fjord.

You're not that high-maintenance. You haven't demanded anything or made us go anywhere I don't want to, haven't said anything dramatic for the sake of it. Trust me, you're fine.

[ He has no idea where to start when it comes to himself, however. ]

What do you want to know?

You'll regret saying that when I call you at 1am because I need someone to tell me what day it is and I forget Yasha's in the next room. Beau has learned to turn off her phone.

[ He chuckles, and then takes the last piece of his tart to enjoy it. ]

Favorite food? Favorite color? Turn-offs? Turn-ons? Tidbits are nice.

Beau always has her useless brick of a phone turned off, that's no standard to measure yourself against.

[ As for what Molly wants to know, Fjord keeps absently rubbing his thumb over those knuckles as he picks at his own tart. It's nice to look like a couple, even in small ways, and he can't stop smiling all because of that simple touch. ]

Favourite food is ribs, the kind with extra sauce to pour on top. That shit's exquisite, especially with mozzarella sticks. [ Comfort food is the best food! ] Hmm, I like the colour red but purple might be making a comeback ...

[ Eyes crinkled with warmth as he looks Molly over, he chuckles when it comes to more personal details. Doesn't shy away from answering though, which means he thinks it's worth opening up on their date. ]

I don't like ... getting too rough. My, ah, my ex wasn't the best at paying attention to safe-words. Being — pinned down, that's not ... not always so fun. Only when it's for real! Not ... obviously play-fighting. I know the orc-thing is a button most people like to press but the red haze that comes when I'm distressed, I don't remember much while I'm in it, so it isn't really me.

[ He's been through some toxic shit, clearing his throat as he tries to lighten the mood. ]

He smiles at the way they're still holding hands, and it's... soft. Gentle. So different from what he's used to. Hearing Fjord describe is favorite food is lovely, and he can see the man chowing down on those things happily in his head. ]

Sounds delicious. I don't really have a favorite food, I think. I'll try anything once, though, and I prefer it as spicy as possible.

[ Molly is amused by the red and addition of 'purple', and he preens a little bit under the warm, sweet gaze. ]

No wonder you like my eyes, then! I'm an 'all colors' kind of person but I have to admit peacock green is a favorite. Looks like green in general, now...

He's surprised at the detail of the turn-offs, and his irritation at this famedigger bitch grows. Safe words were holy! Pinning down he could fully understand, then, even if he personally liked it. If you can't trust the person, it fucks up a lot of things.

Orc stuff? Well, Molly loves playing up his tiefling parts, but orcs have a bit of a reputation and he knows far, far too well how it is to disappear behind something when distressed and having no idea what happened.

So he smiles and gently squeezes that hand a bit in understanding... and then breaks into laughter again. ]

You know what, that's really refreshing to hear.

[ Molly's a lovely rainbow of all the colours that Fjord associates with flowers, a walking bouquet of roses and foxgloves, also smelling just as great now that they're sitting close enough for him to pick up on that. It's validating not to have any of his turn-offs questioned and any tension that may have seeped into his shoulders slips away again as Molly laughs, hands squeezing gently in a fun back-and-forth. ]

Tell me your turn-offs and we'll leave all the other stuff in that area as a surprise. Deal?

[ He leans back a bit, loosening his hold on that hand but not letting go. ]

Essentially everything you said about safe words, I'm very serious about those. I don't like to be seriously belittled and looked down upon for who I am, be it tiefling, model or doing some minor sex work. Teasing or endearingly is fine, I even like that. I don't like being gagged with something hard. I don't like blindfolds, either. [ Molly chuckles. ] I'm greedy and I want to see what's going on.

[ Ah, yes... that more serious part. ]

For first hookups and stuff... I... uh... need to leave a note to myself. Sometimes I lose time, I have... memory lapses. I just want to know I did something I wanted to.
