I'm fine with whatever you want. Stick a waffle in it for me, too.
[ This is their life now, dates of delicious food and cooing over each other. It could be worse, honestly, Fjord looks so demurely pleased with his life as he chins a hand to watch Molly hoot over flavours. ]
I've decided to keep mine and Deuces' tent in the out-of-character field next to yours, so you can find us easily if you need something at night.
[ He raises his menu politely so that the waitress can get over in her own pace. Molly sweet-talks the matronly halfling woman about ice cream, and she pinches his cheek like a loving grandmother and tuts off to get them their treat.
Eyes back on Fjord, the tiefling smiles again. ]
Really? You don't have to do that, I don't want you to miss out because of newbies.
It's no trouble, we'll always try to be back in the normie-field around nine or ten at night. Nobody keeps their phones on them in the day, making it awfully hard to stay in contact, so whenever you want to explore on your own you'll still know where I'll be at a certain time. Besides, passing out on the "tavern" floor full of floor cushions and pillows might not be a good idea with the weather turning chilly.
[ He fully expects Mollymauk and Yasha to run off and do their own thing, so keeping a touchstone location seems wise. If Molly has any memory lapses, then there's somewhere he can be safe; or even if he just doesn't enjoy himself. ]
I'll keep a cooler of water and snacks in my tent in case anyone gets dehydrated or hungry, feel free to pilfer from it.
[ He really is, and planning a thing like this seems amazingly thoughtful to him. Both because they're newbies, and because he knows Molly might not like it and would just hang out in the tent eating chips the whole weekend.
(Or forget where he is.)
Neither is going to happen, though. He's so excited for this. ]
I'm going to love seeing what people are wearing, I hope I can stay in character.
It's all bullshit, don't worry. There will be people wearing full plate armour, the real kind, because they're bonkers and planning on not actually hitting anything on the battlefield, and you'll never look weirder than they do. Just invent whatever you want and they'll lap it up.
[ He clears his throat as their dessert arrives, sticking his nose in the air. ]
I, of course, will be immune to your charms as a holy man.
[ He picks up his own spoon, taking some ice cream on it and slipping his forked tongue out to lick it with a sigh of pleasure. All while keeping eye contact. ]
Seeing what Molly is up to he drops his own spoon and takes hold of Molly's hand once he has his next spoonful, looming forward to lick it off, eyes on him. ]
[ It's cute when he's so curious and frustrated in one!
Molly's not quite prepared for the ice cream raid, though, and his eyes widen a bit as that broad tongue 'steals' his. It looks so good, and he's not talking about the ice cream, here. To feel that on his body, suck on it when they kiss... fuck, now he has a semi in the little mom-and-pop restaurant. ]
Mm... I think you're the one hogging all the best bits there, love.
[ He lets the spoon go free with a pop, licking his lips as he sinks back in his seat. The waffle gets stabbed, partly out of sexual frustration and partly because he needs something in his mouth now even if it can't be the purple snack on the other side of the table. So, mrrph. Waffle. ]
Just making sure I get something sweet out of meeting up with you today.
[ Molly purrs, licking the spoon 'clean' from Fjord with the curl of his tongue before going for more ice cream. It's nice and creamy, with some less sweet dark chocolate in it, so it's not too overpowering. Very rich, though, so it feels like he would have to be rolled out of this restaurant later.]
[ Molly happily takes the morsel offered, getting chocolate sauce on his upper lip as he does. ]
Mmm... I get why you asked for that, now. Delicious.
[ Smiling, he chins a hand as Fjord asks what he's going to do the rest of the week. ]
Well, I don't have any more shoots that need any more attention than good lighting and my dick, but I have an interview with a blogger at the end of the week. I'm also booked for more Damali Cosmetics sessions next month, so I will not be able to see you for a while after that.
I don't mind if you're covered in glitter, I'll take that over not seeing you for weeks on end.
[ He has an emotional sad face in his heart when he thinks about not getting to be around Molly, which is just how healthy crushes work, he supposes. ]
[ The kiss is infused with a warm chuckle, savoured in the sunshine beating down on them and their melting ice cream.
The week flies by in a flurry of texts and calls as Fjord works through his usual shifts with no real urgency, answering Molly's questions and queries as they start to pile up a little more toward the friday when it comes to driving down. Fjord is in Caduceus's little van because they can fit their stuff in the back without a fuss and they swing around Molly's way so that Yasha can follow them in her car. He leans out his window to give Molly a peck on the cheek while they load up.
Caduceus's van, with its extra space, also rapidly fills up somehow.
Fjord sends voice messages on the drive down. The countryside is beautiful where the fields have been rented out for the weekend and they park up at the other end of one where people have already set up their OOC tents, a number of them in the process of doing so. Beyond the fence, the main field is a riot of colour as far more elaborate, fancy tents have been erected for the larp, flags flying here and there as everyone gets the scenery ready. Most people are wearing normal clothes but a few are already in the spirit as they wear antlers and capes. The spot Caduceus chooses is in eyeshot of the crew and first-aid, after a suggestion from Fjord, and it's truly exciting to hop out onto the grass and ferry their gear to set up there, someone in the camp tootling a merry tune on a flute when they start making camp. ]
Probably a bard, [ he tells Molly with a wry grin, ] never too early for a bad song.
[ Mollymauk is so relieved that they managed to rent a car for this, because gods know they couldn't fit any of it on her bike. Her new foam sword still had to be tied to the roof, so it was a close one.
The drive is nice and he's so excited to try something new, phone full of character sheet and information about everything. Yasha smiles as he chatters all the way to the site, taking in the lovely countryside more than the excited tiefling.
He hops out of the car as soon as it stops and stretches every little muscle before looking around like a child at a carnival. Thankfully Yasha drops his duffle back on his shoulder before he flits off somewhere, and Molly is temporarily tamed by getting his stuff and carry (some) of it. ]
Hah, at least it isn't Wonderwall. Or ye olde miracle wall.
[ He's wearing less jewelry than usual, but what he has on is very vintage or faux-medieval, and he's in the flowy pirate shirt and sweatpants. Molly has three looks (three looks, and that's it!) - fashion model, thrift store monster and just fucking goblincore.
Yasha somehow empties the car in two rounds and starts helping set up the tents with Caduceus, fondly rolling her eyes at Molly as the tiefling is constantly distracted by people's outfits, props and more. ]
Dear gods, is that an actual tower shield? Fjord, these people are intense!
This is nothing, wait until everyone is dolled up for breakfast. We'll be having that in-character at one of the inns, by the way.
[ He keeps the details of that (faux inn-keepers with camping grills outside the 'buildings') to himself, chuckling to himself as he sees Molly flaunting his new favourite shirt for the weekend. Currently in a tee and shorts, Fjord offers to take Molly's bag and jerks his head to the IC field, currently filled with folks hard at work including the crew in their black, clearly emblazoned tees. ]
Go on, go say hi. Ask for character names if you meet anyone, you might not recognise them tomorrow. [ Glancing at Caduceus, they share a knowing look. It turns softly on Molly again. ] Explore if you want to, the three of us can manage the tents.

[ Now you're fucked, Fjord, because Molly immediately takes that as a challenge.
...this ice cream is also a challenge, with four scoops, a waffle and a cute little sugar heart. The halfling woman winks and then heads off again. ]
What if I'm playing a cleric, hmm?
