Beau always has her useless brick of a phone turned off, that's no standard to measure yourself against.

[ As for what Molly wants to know, Fjord keeps absently rubbing his thumb over those knuckles as he picks at his own tart. It's nice to look like a couple, even in small ways, and he can't stop smiling all because of that simple touch. ]

Favourite food is ribs, the kind with extra sauce to pour on top. That shit's exquisite, especially with mozzarella sticks. [ Comfort food is the best food! ] Hmm, I like the colour red but purple might be making a comeback ...

[ Eyes crinkled with warmth as he looks Molly over, he chuckles when it comes to more personal details. Doesn't shy away from answering though, which means he thinks it's worth opening up on their date. ]

I don't like ... getting too rough. My, ah, my ex wasn't the best at paying attention to safe-words. Being — pinned down, that's not ... not always so fun. Only when it's for real! Not ... obviously play-fighting. I know the orc-thing is a button most people like to press but the red haze that comes when I'm distressed, I don't remember much while I'm in it, so it isn't really me.

[ He's been through some toxic shit, clearing his throat as he tries to lighten the mood. ]

Turn-ons, ah. We'll have to see if you get far enough to figure those out.

He smiles at the way they're still holding hands, and it's... soft. Gentle. So different from what he's used to. Hearing Fjord describe is favorite food is lovely, and he can see the man chowing down on those things happily in his head. ]

Sounds delicious. I don't really have a favorite food, I think. I'll try anything once, though, and I prefer it as spicy as possible.

[ Molly is amused by the red and addition of 'purple', and he preens a little bit under the warm, sweet gaze. ]

No wonder you like my eyes, then! I'm an 'all colors' kind of person but I have to admit peacock green is a favorite. Looks like green in general, now...

He's surprised at the detail of the turn-offs, and his irritation at this famedigger bitch grows. Safe words were holy! Pinning down he could fully understand, then, even if he personally liked it. If you can't trust the person, it fucks up a lot of things.

Orc stuff? Well, Molly loves playing up his tiefling parts, but orcs have a bit of a reputation and he knows far, far too well how it is to disappear behind something when distressed and having no idea what happened.

So he smiles and gently squeezes that hand a bit in understanding... and then breaks into laughter again. ]

You know what, that's really refreshing to hear.

[ Molly's a lovely rainbow of all the colours that Fjord associates with flowers, a walking bouquet of roses and foxgloves, also smelling just as great now that they're sitting close enough for him to pick up on that. It's validating not to have any of his turn-offs questioned and any tension that may have seeped into his shoulders slips away again as Molly laughs, hands squeezing gently in a fun back-and-forth. ]

Tell me your turn-offs and we'll leave all the other stuff in that area as a surprise. Deal?

Deal. Sounds lovely.

[ He leans back a bit, loosening his hold on that hand but not letting go. ]

Essentially everything you said about safe words, I'm very serious about those. I don't like to be seriously belittled and looked down upon for who I am, be it tiefling, model or doing some minor sex work. Teasing or endearingly is fine, I even like that. I don't like being gagged with something hard. I don't like blindfolds, either. [ Molly chuckles. ] I'm greedy and I want to see what's going on.

[ Ah, yes... that more serious part. ]

For first hookups and stuff... I... uh... need to leave a note to myself. Sometimes I lose time, I have... memory lapses. I just want to know I did something I wanted to.

[ Pause. ]

Oh, unless I'm staying in for a whole day, don't spank me with anything more than your hand... daddy.

[ Yeah, he's not subtle and some people give confused looks. ]

[ Damn, that's a lot. His ears heat up as he listens to first hook-up details and notes the preferences down in etched stone inside his head. ]

If you ever want to stop and record a message to yourself around me, let me know and I'll wait. [ More importantly (although he's really not over being called Daddy, wow,) ] Your lapses in memory, how often do they occur? I assume they're a lingering echo of your accident.

It's... not common, but it happens. My head's pretty fucked up, to be honest. I can't read because the letters move and I have pretty bad migraine episodes sometimes. Shaky hands. High maintenance, as I said.

[ He'll bet on three minutes after that before Fjord walks out the door.

...then again, he took the memory lapse thing really well. ]

Well ... [ Molly sounds confident but all his words have a faintly abrasive, 'fight me' edge, so Fjord just shrugs and says without ceremony, ] I suck at maths and skip the gym more often than I should, so that makes us vaguely even.

[ His hand remains in Molly's. ]

[ He's a little bit stunned for a moment - and then smiles so widely that his fangs are on display, happiness in his red eyes and a bit of relief going through his body like a deep breath of air. ]

...you're a charming fellow, Fjord. I'm glad I picked your flower shop.

[halforc]

I'm glad too.

[ And just to swing some charisma, to see if it hits the right mark, he brings Molly's hand up to dust a kiss over his knuckles while maintaining eye-contact with that bright smile, letting him feel the hint of tusks amid soft lips — ]

I'd never seen anyone walk into that shop who was more beautiful than the flowers.

[ He will romance the fuck out of this guy if it kills him. ]

[ Oh no, here comes that heart-fluttery thing again as he's flirted with, the romantic stuff going straight to his heart. It was new and exciting and it was making him all soft here in the coffee shop.

More beautiful than the flowers.

That red-purple heat in his face come to the surface again, and Molly keeps his hand in Fjord's, not wanting to let go. ]

You're such a charmer.

[ That gains a breathy laugh as he lowers their hands, giving them a bracing squeeze again. Molly looks like a bruised plum when he blushes and it's absolutely adorable, the cool lavender facade totally falls away. ]

Not always, not with everyone.

[ There was Calianna, that girl who vaguely crushed on Caleb that Fjord blanked in real-time, he could have been kinder to her (she was super fucking annoying though, even Nott said so). He knows he could be more open with his friends, too. Fjord has a tendency to bottle everything up like one of his ships until it starts to feel like he's running out of air. ]

You know, if you're serious about the larp thing, we're going to another event in a couple of weeks. I could help you create a character if you and Yasha wanted to run around with foam weapons all weekend and whack fake monsters for gold. It can be very cathartic.

[ Not with everyone. They're opening up a lot for a first date and Molly... Molly's weirdly happy. It's fun, and he's having a good time... and Fjord's every little thing is getting in under his skin in a good way.

The question about the larping has him laughing again, but he does lean in a bit, showing his eagerness. ]

... you know what, why not! It sounds like a lot of fun and I'm always willing to try new things. I'm sure Yash would be happy to hit things, too.

[ With something soft, obviously. ]

[ This is?? Unbelievable. This gorgeous, funny, clever man actively wants to spend time in a field just to see what Fjord's hobby is like. With as high-maintenance as Mollymauk says he is, Fjord immediately starts planning out how to make him more comfortable. ]

You two can borrow my old tent and we'll set it up on the out-of-character field so you have somewhere to escape the weirdness, if you need to.

[ Hey, it sounds like fun and he's always up for making a fool of himself. Especially among like-minded people... and he wants to see Fjord in costume so badly.

(It's sweet that he adds the 'call to explain' thing, and Molly's already sure he's going to blow this poor half-orc's phone up anyway.) ]

So what character do you think I would be?

Oh, no, I'm not adding anything to this! I want to see what you come up with all on your own.

[ He's very curious to see what Molly creates given the bare-boned rules of the classes. ]

Take a look tonight and mull it over with Yasha, you could always have your characters' histories intertwined. Siblings, maybe?

Hah! You have no idea who you have unleashed! I will definitely talk to Yasha bout it, she should be home in about a week.

[ He chuckles and finally releases that hand so that he can lean his chin on it. ]

Siblings might be fun, yeah. I'll set up my text-to-talk and have a listen later. It seems like I have alot to learn.

[ That larp thing was kind of a while away, though. ]

I'll fish for that gym date, too? I really like you, Fjord.

[ He finishes off the last of his coffee as he hears I really like you, nodding along. This is probably the best date he's ever had, lowkey anxious he'll mess up somehow, but everything Molly says and does is a balm. ]

I like you a lot too, Mollymauk.

[ Fjord can't just stare dreamily at the guy all day, straightening up. Get it together. ]

Would've been awkward if you didn't like me, since I've ... subscribed. [ For half a year, wow. ] Ah, you know, if that's weird at all, I can just ... cancel it. I didn't hope to think we'd get along so well. I feel like this is a bit different now, knowing you.

[ He was told not to be creepy!! ]

[ He says, smiling as he does that dreamily staring thing as well. Then he has to pull himself into gear again as Fjord mentions the subscription, and that tail makes a little swish as he chuckles again. ]

Oh, no. It's not weird. It's... a little exciting, honestly.

[ He's not sure why, but it is. ]

You don't have a problem with that part of my income?

[ Thinking about it for a moment he sorts through what might bother him, if anything. ]

I mean, it's all through a screen, isn't it? You don't actually meet those people.

[ ??? ]

No, I don't meet them physically... unless they recognize me on town or at a modelling event, I suppose, and they would get a handshake or a hug if they're not creepy dicks. Otherwise, everything I do is online. I do private shows, though, and private photo shoots like the flower bed one.

[ It's a pretty serious thing for Molly and he hopes Fjord doesn't have an issue with it... because he wants to date this man. ]

As long as they aren't touching you in real life — in that way — they can look all they want.

[ He's possessive but he isn't unreasonable, and if dudes want to make Molly rich by jizzing themselves silly over his luscious looks then let them. ]

You're making money off of lonely idiots, like me, so it's fine.

[ Having a sense of humour helps. ]

It would be terrible of anyone to not look at me, I like the attention and I would probably need attention whore rehab. I don't really like the thought of being some trophy for someone, though, so I don't date subscribers... unless I met them in person and was responsible for making them addicted, of course.

[ He chuckles and then stretches in his chair to pop his shoulders a bit. ]

If my ass can make me 100k a year I'm showing it as much as I can.

That is a ridiculous sum of money. Like, 50k an asscheek! Jeez.

[ Not gonna think about that as he starts shuffling his coat on, reluctant to get moving again but wanting to end on a high note. ]

Like I said, the trip isn't for two weeks so you've got plenty of time to prepare. In the meantime, perhaps we could meet up for lunch again? If you're not busy. A date-and-a-half, before the second one.

Whaaat, you don't think they're worth it?

[ Molly says with a laugh, before he also starts to pick up his things to get going. He had some more editing to do, after all. ]

I would love lunch. As you see I'm available most of the time, unless I have an actual non-sexy gig. Do you like halfling food?

Haven't sampled the merchandise directly, couldn't rate it. [ He'll be sure to peep those cheeks later, says his wink. ] I do like halfling food, as it happens. Let's hit that up next time.

[ As they make their way out of the shop, Fjord rounds on him once fresh air surrounds them, all the cockiness blown away in the cool breeze. He stands taller than Molly but he has so little control over his confidence which loops and swoops in the pit of his gut once faced with him again, and a mildly nerve-wracking moment in which they say goodbye and he wonders how not to come off desperate. ]

This was fun, I enjoyed myself. [ He blurts out what's on his mind before he chickens out, the Beau in his head kicking his mouth open, ] May I kiss you?
