[ Molly laughs as the water splashes at him, following Fjord into the gently lapping waves at the shallows. The water here breathed, moved and flowed unlike any lake he's been in, but not as rushing fast as the rivers.

[ Molly laughs at that and then slinks forward into the water, feeling out how the waves move as he swims after Fjord. The half-orc moves like he's born in the waters, and while Molly's not a bad swimmer by any means, he's definitely not used to the ocean.
A wave dunks his head under water and he spits some brine out of his mouth, but he manages to keep up with Fjord. ]
[ Fjord wades in, dipping his head under the water to wet his hair. ]
I don't know, it's a big ocean ... Who knows what's out here at any given time?
[ And he ducks underwater, disappearing into an ominous dark blob circling Molly's feet. The waters are still clear enough to see his shadow but nothing else. ]
[ He's really glad he knows Fjord (or at least he think he does) because that shit's terrifying. Molly keeps a close eye on what he thinks is the half-orc's shadow, but his line of sight is continuously broken when the waves bob him up and down.
He's... just going to wrap his tail around himself. You know, just in case. ]
[ Fjord's not a total asshole; instead of grabbing that tail, which he now knows to be delicate and sensitive, he snatches an ankle and drags Molly under without warning.
Because yes, Molly deserves it! For some reason he will remember later. ]
[ Since he was expecting an 'attack' of some kind, Molly doesn't panic too much when he's pulled down. He even manages to take a breath so he doesn't get a mouthful of water, instead managing to not rush up to the surface again and instead look for his evil half-orc friend.
Shaking his ankle free, he dives after Fjord to get even (somehow) but he's distracted with how pretty things are underneath the water. Bless darkvision, even if it didn't show him all the colors. ]
[ Swimming around Molly, he's surprised to see an effort made to follow before the reefs below catch the tiefling's attention. If he wants to stay down here longer, Fjord thinks he can manage that ...
He uses Gift of the Depths to access Underwater Breathing and casts it on Molly, swooshing in front of him with a grin as the bubbles escape his mouth. Offering a hand, he jerks his head to the seabed of the pretty shallows. ]
[ Mollymauk is about to head up again for a breath when Fjord just zooms up in front of him, more fish-like that he thought possible, and casts something. Surprised, the tiefling isn't quite sure what just happened, but when the half-orc offers his hand to go deeper, things slot into place and he takes a 'deep' breath.
The water is cold in his lungs, but they work just fine.
Excited he kicks his legs to head after Fjord, taking the green hand in his and squeezing the fingers slightly in a wordless 'thanks'. He wanted to see more of this world that he knew absolutely nothing about, cherishing a new experience above all things.
The fact that they were nice and alone underwater was just a plus. ]
[ His movement is slightly less impaired by the water now so he uses that ease to help pull Molly along as he leads the way, returning to where the sunshine beats down through the glimmering blue waters in golden shafts. He lets go of him to dive and look at some fish, floating upside-down for a moment before twisting around to investigate for shells, comfortable in the Wildmother's element.
[ Molly is soon entranced by little fish swimming around, quick and plentiful in all kinds of pretty critters. Taking out one of his earrings, he stabs it into his finger, the radiant light it takes creating a cascade of colors over the entire reef as his darkvision changes. He was a colorful man, but this... this blew him out of the water, as they say.
The curious tiefling lifts a shell only to find a tiny crab underneath. It takes off towards a mass of corals and Molly laughs as he puts the shell down and internally apologizes for scaring the little thing.
Turning around, he sees Fjord floating and weaving through the water, and it's honestly beautiful to see how at home the half-orc seems to be. He feels like a giant clutz while trying to keep up, grabbing hold of an arm to steady himself and mouth 'I love this' to Fjord. ]
[ He manages to stuff a pretty lilac shell in his pants pocket before feeling a tap on his arm, righting himself to read Molly's lips. It's an act of impulse when he floats closer and takes Molly's head between his hands to pull him into a kiss, the Underwater Breathing making it no issue when Fjord opens his mouth to lick his way into that little cavern of heat amongst the cool shallows, putting all his emotions from the past couple of days into it. Day and a half, since this started last night?
Down here, Fjord doesn't pretend not to find him the most loveable creature around.
That crab is a close second though, if anyone were to ask. ]
[ He's surprised as Fjord kisses him, but that doesn't mean that he isn't wholeheartedly into it once those lips are on his. It's an unique thing, being kissed underwater like this and he welcomes that tongue in greedily to deepen it and wrap his arms around Fjord's body. There was a lot of emotion in this, and Molly's a little surprised that it doesn't scare him this time.
Instead he returns the emotions in the way he kisses back, sweet but heated at the same time. Longing and happy at the same time. It's an odd mix with the seawater entering their lungs, but somehow it works. Just a little saltier than usual.
Very Fjordcore.
Maybe down here he didn't need to be afraid where this was taking them. Maybe he could allow himself some weakness without that bitter feeling of knowing he'll screw it up. ]
[ He's never kissed someone underwater before, not counting giving Jester air so that she could breathe. That experience is a world away from what he shares with Molly, which brims with unspoken feelings that are too hard to voice on land, easier said in the way Fjord runs his fingers through a cloud of curly purple hair and paws his way down the curve of a lovely back, bringing them in close as they tread water together. He hums and smiles, made up by the way Molly gives it his all in return; and maybe they won't have to sleep separately tonight after all, maybe some distance isn't what Molly needs.
Fjord parts their lips to grin at him, sunshine glinting in red eyes brighter than any of the reef's flowers. His heart does a funny lurch that has nothing to do with the tide.
You're beautiful, he mouths, because he can't be hit properly down here and enjoys watching Molly get flustered by direct compliments. ]
[ Molly lets Fjord's touch float him closer, 'anchoring' himself to the half-orc with his tail so that he can kiss him again. It feels like they're floating (which technically they are) and there's so much said in the way Fjord's fingers move over his back - warm against the slight chill of the ocean. Gently, trusting just after being shits to eachother.
He smiles back as their lips are parted, and oh, fuck - there it is again, something warm in his chest that has nothing to do with desire. He really had to talk to Yasha about this.
Red eyes illuminated by the glowing earring take in the words Fjord mouths to him and Molly leans his forehead against a green chest in the useless attempt to hide the slightly purple color on his cheeks. Many, many people has called him beautiful in many ways, but not like this. Not down in the ocean, obviously, but also not so sincerely said by a friend he cares about a little too much.
I want you, he mouths back, and maybe he means that in more ways than one. ]
[ He feels warm all over, like the sun isn't going to set soon and it could be midday, but it's all to do with Molly hiding against him (uncharacteristic and cute because of it), then the words he reads on his lips. Fjord nods, foreheads pressed together for a moment as he grins, taken aback by the words and scared to read too much into them ... Instead, he waggles his brows at the surrounding reef, as if it's an option. It's definitely time to go, though. Sadly.
Not sadly, in fact, because he gets to take a dripping wet Mollymauk home and ogle him all along the way.

He gets to hide his blush by swimming for the surface. ]
[ He chuckles at the look towards the reef. It's honestly tempting to see if it was even possible, but he also doesn't want to risk getting a crab nip in the middle of something good. Instead he follows Fjord towards the surface, breaking it and tossing his hair back over his head and horns once he does. Treading water, Molly silences the rite on his earring and starts to swim instead.
Something far more difficult above the water, it seems, as the waves keep tossing him around.
Blue catches his attention and he can see Jester on the beach, waving at them both with the rest of the Nein exploring the shallows or sitting on the beach.
Once Molly finds his feet on the sand, he walks out of the water to Jester's wolf-whistle, and gives her a show of combing his fingers through his wet hair with a wink before he picks up his dress. Saltwater runs in little lines down his body, following the muscles of his back and pooling slightly at the scars on his neck. The plum hair is darker when wet, but immediately seems to want to return to those loose curls when no longer plastered to his skin. ]
Alright, I think I've had enough water for the day.
[ Fjord hangs back as they head up the beach and it is, shamelessly after their private moment under the surface, all in order to watch Molly. He only tears his gaze away when Beau asks what kind of a fucking idiot he was to go swimming in his pants and he rolls his eyes, dragged into banter as he falls into step with them up the beach. If they head back now they can get a good table for Marion's performance, which is honestly low on Fjord's list of priorities after what Molly said back in the sea ... but! It's Marion and she's lovely, so. Also he's hungry, better get that fixed too.
As everyone gets their shit together, he holds out a hand for Molly once they're both reasonably dressed. He waits for Molly to meet his eyes, a soft look in them reserved just for him, remembering the I want you. It's dangerously sappy.
[ Molly shimmies into his dress and has to battle with it a little bit to get it on his still somewhat damp body, but it works out in the end. He finds one of his sandals and is somewhat confused until Yasha nods towards Veth and he groans. Guess he's going barefoot back to the Chateau, because he's not in the mood to chase the former goblin around.
...not when Fjord is waiting for him with that look on his face and those pretty eyes all soft for him. Happiness jumps over fear this time and he slides over to take Fjord's arm again. ]

[ Pleased with Molly liking the little gift, the comment about wearing the shell intrigues him for the rest of the walk home and he asks Molly all sorts of curious questions about how he'll attach it, do the chains bother him in the water, is that why he's without them? The questions last all the way back to the Chateau and then they have to part to get inside, wash and dress, and be ready for the performance.
Fjord lets the happy mood carry him through all of it. When everyone disappears back to their respective rooms to get changed he catches Molly by the wrist and steals a quick peck on the lips. ]
[ Molly's more than happy to tell him about his jewelry, saying that he's been looking for a replacement for the moon charm he gave the little firbolg boy, so the shell might be nice to dangle from that horn. (He also admits that aside from them getting tangled in things, the chains are shitty metal and might rust, hence not wearing them in the ocean water.) He chats comfortably all the way back, until they're about to separate to get ready.
