Mm, good.

[ The bruise has disappeared during the night because D&D injuries are weird thanks to the lingering healing magic, and it feels nice to have Fjord's hands on him. Smiling, he leans in for a soft kiss. ]

I think that might be a good idea. Maybe some emergency pants for those days we have to get up fighting.

[ He suddenly blinks, a little more awake. ]

...shit, did my boots survive?

[halforc]

[ ... Welp. Pretty sure Molly's boots are at the bottom of the sea by now. ]

I'll buy you new boots before we leave, how about that?

[devilstongue]

...I guess that works.

[ He looks a little more upset than Molly normally would be about losing something material, though. ]

I'll get something even higher, Nicodranas feels like a good place to find that.

[halforc]

I'm sorry about your boots.

[ That too. Just ... brushing curls aside, gently grooming that morning bedhead. ]

We could get the new ones enchanted.

It's okay. Just a little bit sentimental, I got them for my second 'birth' day.

[ He smiles, leaning into the touch like a cat seeking more pets. ]

Just make them practical and outrageous at once and I'm good.

[halforc]

Alright.

[ Hmm. Plotting something, he gives him a more vigorous rub-down petting than before and sits up enough to dislodge Molly onto a nest of blankets and pillows, soft-faced and sweet. It's a rare sight and Fjord kisses him just because he loves that he gets to see him this way. ]

If anyone knocks the door, tell them you're under direct Paladin orders not to leave this bed. I'm going to get breakfast now. Okay?

Mmmkay, Sir Fjord.

[ Molly's easily lulled to sleep again by pets and and kisses, smiling as he leans into Fjord's warm spot. He's nicely rolled into more than one blanked, probably cooking himself in it, but it's awfully comfortable.

He dreams of dark water, though, and it is not as nice as the lovely dip it had the other day, floating in the colorful reef. ]

[ The picture Molly makes cradled in a bed of Melora's flowers is enough to have Fjord let go of some of his worries and he lays a kiss on the tiefling's brow, quietly closing the door.

An intrepid plan is put into motion once he takes a look at the dock out back, now teeming with fishermen confused as to why the jetty has sank. It looks safe enough. He finds Yasha and asks if she's willing to take a swim to find Molly's boots, the both of them heading down to the beach where he casts Underwater Breathing and watches her head into the waves, strong enough that if anything anything attacks (they feel it's unlikely in broad daylight and with Fjord ashore) she's powerful enough to return quickly. Fjord would go in himself ... but that idea doesn't fly with either of them for more than a moment.

It only takes ten minutes for Yasha to return with Molly's soaked boots, the pair of them having fallen close to where the walkway was and washed further in with the tide. As she claps him on the back and heads off to get dry, he sets Molly's shoes by the back door to do the same in the hot sunshine, then commences his search for breakfast. Meat comes in the form of a burrito, sweeter snacks of croissants and fruit on the side in classic Menagerie style, Fjord stacking a few bacon strips on the plate for good measure. He eats downstairs with Jester, both of them agreeing to leave in the afternoon to let Molly gets some rest. She says she'll tell Caleb the plan for which Fjord is grateful, not wanting to bring more inconvenience to everyone's plans than he already has. Not personally, anyway.

The tray he carries upstairs for Molly has a jug of juice, sugary-sweet to help with the blood-loss of the previous night. He sneaks into the bedroom and climbs over the hemming flowers, disturbing the mattress with his weight as he sits down beside one cosy purple bedbug.

Fjord strokes Molly's hair, coaxing him awake ... then waves a bit of bacon under his nose for good measure. ]

Wakey, wakey, rise and shine. Room service for Mister Tealeaf.

[ The flowers are still there when Fjord returns, a few of them losing their petals but otherwise a miracle in the night. Molly is curled up into a ball rather than his normal greedy sprawling, which is a sign that he's still rather cold.

The weight disturbance in the mattress has him stirring a bit, red eyes opening a sliver and the corner of his mouth quirking into a smile. The hand in his hair is so nice, and he snaps the piece of bacon from Fjord fingers. ]

Mm... so good to me.

[ He scoots a bit upward to a sitting position, refusing to get out of his blanket burrito even for an actual burrito. ]

When are we leaving, love?

[halforc]

[ Tiny tief, so cose. ]

Later, don't worry about that now. Just eat something and have a drink to wash it down.

[ He sliiides in to let Molly have the benefit of his bodyheat and slings an arm around blanketed shoulders, giving a rub. Fjord balances the tray on his own lap and offers down this and that to where Molly is recovering in a ball at his side.

Lightly, he asks, ]

Do you have any leather oil left over for your boots?

[devilstongue]

[ He leans to the half-orc, picking out some things to eat and essentially shoving that in his mouth. Molly is starving and the morsels Fjord brought were perfect.

He almost drops his burrito when the paladin suddenly asks that, putting it together quickly. He knows Fjord, and isn't sure if to laugh or reprimand him for risking things for shoes. He's grateful, though, chuckling a bit. ]

Don't tell me you went after them. You're ridiculous.

[ Said very endeared, placing a kiss on a green forehead. ]

[halforc]

[ What a mess this poor bed is, growing plants and littered in crumbs. He steals a bit of bacon to chew on as Molly eats. ]

Yasha did, actually, we figured she would rip the arms off anything that tried her. It was really sunny and the fishermen were already down there poking around, so she was fine.

[devilstongue]

I'll have to hug her later.

[ Like he doesn't do that a hundred times a day already.

Molly keeps eating slowly, happy to have a drink as well. He's a bit dehydrated after that, after all, and the sugar is helpful. ]

Thank you, Fjord.

As long as you're feeling better that's all that matters.

[ He slumps down against the pillows, the tray pulled up to balance on his middle as he remains Molly's table. Finagling a hand underneath those blankets it palms its way around to the back of a neck and settles there with a thumb running through babyfine curls.

Tiny green nap for himself ... ]

[ He's such a spoiled person right now, eating food in bed with his lover dozing next to him, his tail gently curled over Fjord's hips. Molly finishes all of the food like a good boy, letting Fjord rest as he does.

Once he's done, he carefully leans down and kisses the half-orc. ]

Hi. You're adorable when you sleep.

[halforc]

[ He finds that tail to absently stroke back and forth as he dozes, absorbing the last of the Wildmother's flowery scents as he tries to meditate without slipping under. Fjord comes back to himself with a kiss, smiling and cupping that handsome face which he gets to wake up to every day, demon-fish-motherfuckers not allowed. ]

Got to be adorable some time. You all finished? Feeling okay?

[devilstongue]

[ By the time it took Molly to finish his breakfast, several of the flowers had finished blooming and there were petals all over the bed. He sprinkles some over Fjord and then kisses him again. ]

Definitely finished and feeling a lot better. I think I'll be good to go in a little while.

[halforc]

You might want to oil your boots first, they're drying out the back door of Marion's downstairs lounge. Don't want those to crack.

[ He tries to catch some of the free-falling petals, putting one right in his mouth and chewing on it. ]

Mm... you're so good to me, saving something silly like that.

[ He chuckles at the petal-eating and then slides on top of Fjord, making himself comfortable. ]

When are we leaving?

[halforc]

Whenever you turn up dressed.

[ The tray is slid to the floor as he steadies Molly, tidying up that messy hair by flopping it backwards over his horns. It looks weird from this angle but it lets him see more of Molly's face instead of tangled curls. ]

They're important to you, right? So, they're important to me. It's not silly to me if something I do can make you happy.

[devilstongue]

[ He leans into the touch with a soft, pleased sigh. Molly loves being touched in general and Fjord just makes it a million times better. ]

I appreciate it. The boots and the coat are honestly what's most sentimental to me when it comes to things. The coat used to be Gustav's old ringmaster one, I fell in love with it when I came to the carnival because all the colors made me focus. I added to it later, of course. Made it my own.

[ He's getting up there in tiefling temperature again, which is a good thing, so he slinks out of his blanket burrito and then leaves himself naked on top of the half-orc. ]

Most people think it's the jewels, but they're all fake crap.

[halforc]

[ ... Oooh, naked boyfriend. Just be cool. They're already dating but, you know. Green hands skim up Molly's waist and follow the flare of hips, petting down his thighs and sweeping up his back to hug him close. ]

Coat and boots, noted. [ He gives a glance to the jewellery on the bedside table, specifically the lavender shell now glazed and gleaming in the sunshine. ] I'm glad you like what I got you, too.

[ If Molly could purr he would, all smiles and feeling that comfortable heat. The touch is wonderful, loosening any lingering tension from the fight yesterday. ]

I'm thinking I'll try out a nautical style. I seem to be drawn to green seaglass.

[ He gives Fjord a soft kiss before crooking his head to bury his face in the half-orc's neck, happy to see that his horns just gently frame green cheeks as he does. ]

You do, do you? Wonder why that is ...

[ Rolling Molly over is no huge feat with the tiefling putty in his lap, buried out of sight as he is, so Fjord covers him with his body where Molly falls, lifting his head to kiss him firmly. Once, twice ... losing himself in the kisses a little as he soaks up the lovely naked skin that invites him to touch every inch. ]

[ Kissing is honestly the best thing in the world, and he cannot get enough of it. Especially not when covered liked this by Fjord, pressed into the mattress and feeling every part of him so close. ]

Mm... I could do this all day.
